Digital technologies are shaping society ever more strongly, and organisations need professionals who combine technical understanding with ethical, societal and strategic thinking. VBE Academy offers the “Digital Humanism Professional” programme for exactly this purpose.
The programme builds on the VBE Ambassador and extends it with philosophy, governance, value analysis and system-level impact. Participants explore moral philosophy, digital humanism and the societal impact of digital technologies in depth, learn how values influence architecture, governance and system behaviour, and link ethical design to the EU AI Act, the SDGs and organisational strategy.
The programme is aimed at professionals who aspire to work as Value Leads and guide complex socio-technical decisions, engineers, product managers and designers in leading roles, ethics, governance and compliance professionals, as well as leaders and senior experts.

Module 1: Fundamentals in Computer Ethics
Digital ethics, values and value prioritisation, moral philosophies, virtue ethics and technology, futurism and the idea of humankind, value theory in economics and Value-based Engineering
Module 2: Value Principles and Fundamental Rights
Addressing bias, data protection and ethical challenges in complex systems
