AI and the Humanities

Do., 29. Oktober 2026 - Fr., 30. Oktober 2026
09:00 - 15:30
AI and the Humanities
IWM Library, Spittelauer Lände 3, Wien, 1090

The Institute for Human Sciences (IWM) is organising the conference “AI and the Humanities” as part of its Digital Humanism program, in cooperation with TU Wien.

AI is reshaping research across all disciplines, and the Humanities are under particular pressure: their methods, their role in education and even their future are being questioned. The conference turns the question around. Instead of only asking what will be left of the Humanities in the age of AI, it asks what the Humanities can contribute to shaping AI and the way it enters society.
